Vaxholms kustartilleriregemente, KA 1, was located in Rindö outside Vaxholm 1902 to 2000, when the regiment was renamed Amf1. 2005 left the Armed Forces Rindö, and Amf1 moved to Berga in Haninge.
Regiment is now demilitarized, the fences are gone, attackdykarnas scuba tanks torn and battle boats have been replaced with sporty sail-ditto. De hundraåriga kasernerna står dock kvar och har nu byggts om till mycket populära lägenhetshus. Vi var ute och flygfotograferade framtida utsikter för ett antal nya hus som ska byggas, and also took the opportunity to take some aerial photos of the island. Because there was aerial-ban over the years the regiment was engaged are not much to compare with.
